More Stars Added To George Jones Tribute Concert

George Strait, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Reba, and Alabama are the latest acts joining the lineup for next month’s George Jones Tribute Concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Announced last November, the tribute concert was originally planned as the final stop of Jones’ “Grand Tour” and quickly filled up with artists wanting one last chance to perform with “Thumper.” But fate had other plans and after Jones passed away in April a decision was made to keep the November date as a tribute to the country legend.

Now it’s beginning to look as if every musician in Nashville will be at the Bridgestone for the sold-out show.  Today’s additions join a lineup that already includes Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Josh Turner, The Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Sam Moore and others.

“I am thrilled and honored that so many of George’s friends are coming to what would have been his last concert,” Jones’ wife Nancy said.  “George loved these artists and before passing had actually wrote letters to almost all of them.”
