The Pixies are working the road as the band did back in the day by releasing new music and touring like crazy.  Having released its first new song in a decade – “Bagboy” last spring, the Pixies issued its new long player – Indie Cindy – last month.

International festivals are on the band’s agenda for spring and summer, including London’s “Field Day” June 8, “INmusic” in Zagreb, Croatia, June 25 and “Summer Sonic” Osaka and Tokyo Aug. 16, 17, respectively.

The fall North American dates include shows in clubs as well as a performance at the Hollywood Bowl for the “KCRW World Festival.”  Here’s the schedule:

Sept. 27 – San Diego, Calif., Humphrey’s Concerts By The Bay
Sept. 28 – Los Angeles, Calif., Hollywood Bowl (KCRW’s World Festival)
Sept. 30 – San Francisco, Calif., Nob Hill Masonic Center
