Mac Sabbath Brings Drive-Thru Metal To The Masses

03:01 PM Wednesday 2/3/16 | |

Los Angeles-based parody band Mac Sabbath will cruise across the land while telling tales of fast-food gloom and doom. Destinations for the band’s “Rock-Sham-Shake” tour include Dallas opener along with gigs in New Orleans, Nashville, Baltimore and other locales where folks hunger for something different.

Mac Sabbath is kind of like a cross between “Weird Al” Yankovic and Salvador Dalí that one might find in a parallel universe where the drinking water has been treated with lysergic acid diethylamide.  Featuring a clown and various characters that might seem reminiscent of a certain fast-food company’s past TV campaigns, the band serves tales of burgers, shakes, fries and other delights, all encased within familiar melodies made famous by Black Sabbath.  Check out the video for “Frying Pan” embedded below.

There’s more where that came from.  Armed with songs like “Chicken For The Slaves,” “Sweet Beef,” “Brand Of Doom,” and “Zippin’ Up The Uniform,” Mac Sabbath is coming for you.  That is, if you’re hungry for a good time.
