‘Rocklahoma’ Keeps Adding Bands

12:01 PM Friday 3/25/16 | |

Rocklahoma!  Where the riffs come sweepin’ down the plains.  The Memorial Day weekend music fest celebrating its 10th anniversary has added even more bands to its lineup.

The festival’s lineup already reads like a who’s who of rock, what with Scorpions, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Megadeth, Chevelle, 3 Doors Down, Sixx:AM among the acts heading to Pryor, Okla., and the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds May 27-29.  Others on the bill include Collective Soul, Hatebreed, DevilDriver, Bullet For My Valentine, Sebastian Bach, Great White, Hellyeah, Steel Panther, Sevendust, Pop Evil and more.

Evidently promoter AEG Live can’t stop booking bands.  Escape The Fate, Shaman’s Harvest, Raveneye and others have been added to the lineup.

Part of the “World’s Loudest Month” collection of festivals, Rocklahoma features three stages of music along with camping, VIP options – the whole shebang.

Of course, you can’t have Rocklahoma without the annual Miss Rocklahoma competition.  Registration is going on now through April 20 at the festival’s website.  Voting on the top 10 finalists begins April 25, resulting in five competitors taking the stage during the festival with only one winning the coveted Miss Rocklahoma 2016 crown.

And be sure to check out all the experiences provided by brands such as Bud Light standing proud as a “the fake political party America needs right now,” Zippo Encore providing Zippo lighters, including limited edition festival designs, and the US Cellular Photo Alley giving you once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to “live like a VIP and get an up-close and personal experience with your favorite Rocklahoma artists.”

VIP tickets and packages such as “Groupie,” “Roadie” and “Rockstar” are sold out, but weekend general admission and camping spaces are still available.  A limited number of discounted tickets is also available for active military through GovX.  Chant the festival’s “Life, Liberty & The Pursuit Of Rock” mantra three times and then visit Rocklahoma.com for more details.
