Mac MillerEagles Of Death MetalVince Staples and Against Me! are among the artists performing after the lights go out at Governors Ball.

The Governors Ball After Dark series features artists at the festival taking the stage at various venues late at night throughout New York City and Brooklyn, N.Y. May 31 to June 5.

The shows planned before the main festival kicks off June 3 are Catfish and the Bottlemen playing Studio at Webster Hall on May 31, Bat For Lashes at St. Ann & The Holy Trinity June 1 and three shows on June 2: Bully at Arlene’s GroceryBob Moses at Output; and Joey Bada$$ at Irving Plaza.

Let there be light! Iceland’s Secret Solstice festival promises 72 hours of nonstop sun and music and has announced a final lineup for the June 16-19 celebration.

Radiohead takes the stage June 17, Deftones and Die Antwoord June 18 and Iceland’s own Of Monsters And Men June 19. The headliner for June 16 is still a secret, but 2015’s surprise guest was Busta Rhymes.

170 artists are booked to play at the event with numerous stages and dance areas. Recent announcements tacked on 42 more names, including AD/D, Serge DevantOsunlade, Pavane, Paul Brown and Sinistarr.

There are all kinds of VIP and special packages available for the festival that recently made headlines for its famous $1 million ticket. More information is available at SecretSolstice.is.

Superjam, the collaborative showcase at Bonnaroo, has announced its musical director as Kamasi Washington and will include the likes of MiguelGrizNathaniel Rateliff & The Night SweatsDevonte HynesVulfpeckThe Internet and Chicano Batman.

The organizing theme for this year’s jam will be the festival’s home state of Tennessee, and will feature the works of native sons BB King and Justin Timberlake.

Past years have given Bonnaroo audiences such unique performances as Skrillex performing alongside Damian Marley or Les Claypool teaming up with Gogol Bordello to honor the enigmatic Tom Waits.

The schedule for Lockn’ has been released. Headliners Phish will be playing Aug. 26 and 28, while Ween will hold down the Aug. 25 headline slot and My Morning Jacket will perform Aug. 27.

The unique jam and collaboration-based festival added Peter Wolf, Khruangbin and The Wailers to the roster, with the groups playing on the 26, 27 and 28 respectively. The bill also includes Umphrey’s McGee and Vulfpeck on Aug. 25.

Lockn’ is known for its unique collaborations and this year’s performance features Doobie Decibel System, which includes members of RatdogALOPrimus and Phil Lesh & Friends. The event will also be the first live set from Circle Around the Sun.

The festival takes place in Arrington, Va., and tickets are on sale at LocknFestival.com.

Dance music festival BPM has set plans for its next installment Jan. 6-15 in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

The lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but 2016’s 10-day party had 430 artists and was nominated for a slew of awards. The event takes place in a rural environment, allowing festivalgoers to connect to the Mexican jungle in between sets.

The next show will mark the 10th anniversary of the festival and a trailer for a documentary about BPM will be released in June. The name of the event comes from its original purpose to serve bartenders, promoters and musicians.

MTG is set for Sept. 23-25 in downtown Long Beach, Calif. and is sponsored by radio station KCRW.

The event aims to unite food and music lovers with a broad selection of special food events to complement the musical palette, with a music/food block party, VIP farm-to-table dinner and a Bloody Mary brunch.

Long Beach locals have the chance to purchase discounted tickets and VIP packages are also on sale.

Tickets for June 12 were moving very fast, Elevation Group president Denny Young said, so it was decided to release more. The festival includes O.A.R.Grace PotterMichael FrantiAndy GrammerElle King and X Ambassadors as headliners.

Laurelive is a collaboration between Elevation Group and Laurel School, and independent, all-girls school in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Milwaukee’s Summerfest will host Pitbull with special guest Prince Royce June 30 at the Marcus Amphitheater.

Prior to this, the amphitheater’s final star was a mystery. The Wisconsin shindig will be a warmup for the boys before they embark for the Bad Man Tour, which kicks of July 6 in Fresno, Calif.

The pool party festival is set in the beautiful Southern California desert, but is held at hotels with luxury accomodations. The host hotels this year are the Saguaro and the Riviera, the latter of which has two pools/stages and will be a feature venue for the first time.

There will also be after-hours parties and side-events such as balcony-decorating contests.
