The new dates span just over a week, from Nov. 17 to 26, with four shows in the Northeast and two in California. During the excursion the singer/songwriter will be treating audiences to tunes from throughout his 25-plus year career.

After the North American run he is in Europe for December, with two German dates, one in Belgium, a bunch in the U.K. and a closer in the Netherlands.

The Best Of comes out Oct. 28 and will include two new tracks. One of them, “Smoke Without Fire,” can be heard below.

Gray also released Greatest Hits in 2007, but this upcoming project is distinct because in addition to physical releases, there is a Spotify playlist associated with the album which is updated weekly based on propriety software and the listening patterns of his 850,000 followers on the service.

Here is the North American plan:

Nov. 17 – Boston, Mass., Shubert Theatre - Citi Performing Arts Center
Nov. 18 – Washington, D.C., Lincoln Theatre
Nov. 20 – New York, N.Y., Apollo Theater
Nov. 22 – Toronto, Ontario, Queen Elizabeth Theatre
Nov. 25 – Los Angeles, Calif., The Theatre At Ace Hotel
Nov. 26 – San Francisco, Calif., Palace Of Fine Arts Theatre

Tickets go on sale Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. Learn more about the artist at DavidGray.com
