2016 Was A Totally Boss Year

Nearly all the box office data is in for our Year-End Charts and it shows that the top two global tours grossed more than a half-billion dollars in what has been a great year for the concert business.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band takes the top spot with a worldwide gross of $262 million, just edging out Beyoncé who took in $256.4 million. The Boss played 75 shows in 65 cities while selling 2.35 million tickets at an average price of $111.41.

Beyoncé’s global jaunt did 49 shows in 46 cities filling 2.24 million seats at an average of $114.59. The Top 5 Tours will be rounded out by Coldplay with a strong third place at about $241 million followed by Guns N' Roses and Adele.
