The run opens in Louisville, Ky., March 22 and ends at White Oak Music Hall in Houston March 30. All of the dates are in the Regional South, including stops in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana.
Kensrue recently released the two-track, 7-inch record More Thoughts that Float On A Different Blood, featuring covers of tunes from Mumford & Sons and Imogen Heap. That is a follow-up from his 2016 Thoughts That Float On A Different Blood, which is live recording of his acoustic performances.
Fun fact about Kensrue: He was formerly Director of Worship for Mars Hill megachurch in Bellevue, Wash., but he eventually left, criticizing “man-made hierarchies” underpinning the church’s leadership structure.
Andy Hull most recently wrote the music for the 2016 film “Swiss Army Man” with his Manchester Orchestra bandmate Robert McDowell. That music also features vocals from actors like Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano.
