I went to his concert this past Tuesday because I had stumbled across it in the Houston Press on Monday.  I didn't know if I wanted to go because Pete Yorn's albums are so mellow.  But I did go and I was so happy I did...he wasn't up there with only guitar but was rockin' his music and had so much energy.  I was more than pleasantly surprised.  I arrived 20 minutes into his set (who knew musicians start on time these days?!) but I caught some of my favorites - By Your Side, Chain, and For Nancy.  You knew the songs but there was more energy.  I would recommend his shows...go, have a beer and be ready to be surprised.
