Good show. I really enjoyed it. That was my 2nd concert ever and it was not disappointing. Pino on bass. Zach on drums. Good Combo.

Review: The Who MTS Centre ~ Oct 3/06 Winnipg, MB Canada 4 1/2 out of 5 Stars The Kids Are STILL Alright! British Invasion rockers The Who showed 10,000 screaming Winnipeg fans what made them the kings of arena rock during the 60's, 70's and 80's. Led by guitartist/songwriter extraordinaire Pete Townshend and frontman Roger Daltrey, the group belted out an impressive array of material ranging from pop hits such as "Can't Explain," "My Generation, "Who Are You," FM classics such as "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Baba O'Reilly" as well as new material from their latest mini opera "Wire and Glass" and from their upcoming CD "Endless Wire," quickly muzzling media nay Sayers who believed the band was too old, creatively exhausted, or couldn't deliver the goods due to the demise of former bassist John Entwhistle and drummer Keith Moon. There was no shortage of Townshend's trademark windmill guitar moves or Daltrey's mike swinging stage pyrotechniques. Their backing group, consisting of ex-Beatle Ringo Starr's son Zak on drums, studio whiz Pino Palladino on bass, Pete's brother Simon on guitar and John Bundrick on keyboards proved imminently capable of filling the shoes of The Who's legendary former rhythm section. Outside of a couple of brief technical problems with Pete's guitar early in the show, the sound and production values were top flight. Giant screens flashed images of the band in their heyday accompanied by dazzling strobe and laser light effects. After receiving an well deserved stand ovation for a sizzling rendition of "Won't Get Fooled Again," the band encored with "Pinball Wizard" and "See Me, Feel Me" from the rock opera "Tommy." The first time I've seen The Who, and while I have all the respect in the world for the band, the concert was kind of disappointing. Daltrey was in good voice, but Townshend couldn't seem to muster up much enthusiasm. Simon was a pleasant surprise as the opening act though.

if you EVER get a chance to see the who, they live up to every bit of their reputation. i am not old enough to have been around for MOST of their careers since i am still only 19, but i saw them on my 19th birthday at the gorge in eastern washington and they were the greatest band that i have ever seen in concert. i am a bit of a concert junky, and i say that they are the best live band ever. SEE THEM!!!!!
