The last date of the good ol' Honda Civic Tour. The line-up was Phantom Planet, The Hush Sound, Motion City Soundtrack and finally, Panic At The Disco. Phantom Planet made me open my eyes and see that they had a lot more talent behind them than just "California." The Hush Sound did a great job keeping the crowd going and had excellent energy. I honestly don't know why Motion City Soundtrack got thrown into that mix, but they still put on a great show. And then THEY took the stage. Despite all the pre-teen screaming that nearly leveled the Honda Center, I had to have been just as excited as everyone for the show to begin. I really wanted to see if they could pull of Pretty. Odd, and if they could pull it off well without all the gimmicks they needed for their first album. Needless to say, even though there were some distracting gimmicks, any doubt I had about them as performers was shattered that night. The sound was amazing, the songs were done well, and who they are as a band was clearly represented on the stage; fun, creative, talented young men with a passion for what they do. My only hope for them is that they stop doing these sponsored tours and go out on their own, because I personally would love to see them much more in the future without such an inflated ticket price.

Crazed fans aside, the show itself was simple and seductive. Yes, I really do mean seductive. Long gone are the days of a three ring circus. Armed with their talent (or lack thereof depending on who you ask) and quirks, Panic At The Disco took command of the stage and all of their fans. It was a great ride while it lasted, with bubbles galore and trippy backgrounds. It's honestly left me with more desire to see them again, as they've grown so much as a live act. I'll be in line for the next tour, money out and ready to attend!
