Before the show started, watching Levon totter around the stage was a little unsettling. He looked skinny and frail enough to blow away. I was afraid someone might bump into him and knock him down. Then he picked up his drum sticks, started into "Ophelia", and seemed to miraculously grow thirty years younger in front of our eyes. The best show I've seen so far this year.

Levon Helm came to Deer Creek Music Center as part of Ringo Starr's All Star Band. He gave a GREAT performance! Songs sang included the classics "The Weight" and "Up On Cripple Creek". We were fortunate enough to meet him before the show and to get an autograph. A great guy! If you ever get the chance to go see Levon in person, please do so.
