If you need some Christmas spirit, attend a Kenny Rogers Christmas Show. We saw four this year, two in Atlantic City, one in New Brunswick and the final one in Englewood and even though Kenny had something going on with his throat, we were not disappointed. We were entertained with a sample of his regular show which included all the hits you want to hear when Kenny Rogers is on stage, then after a short intermission guitar player Randy Dorman opened the Christmas segment with a beautiful solo of Greensleeves. Kenny has a wonderful rapport with the audience, chatting with them, sharing stories and even bringing some onstage for a rolicking version of the Twelve Days of Christmas. So many performers walk on the stage, sing their songs and leave, but with Kenny Rogers you don't just hear songs, you are truly entertained.
