David always puts on a great show and always has. The three foot wig is his choice and I really don't think he gives a *** what you think. He has always played the smaller venues which lets me know that you haven't been to very many shows. Don't listen to a song on the radio and decide to be a follower the next day. As for the rest of us we realize that our time is growing shorter and the shows are going to end soon. We love you David and I can't wait til the next time I see you.

The Show in Rochester, NY.....What a great show!!!! The opening act a band out of Rochester, NY - 40 Rod Lightening was really good and a good choice to have open for David Allan Coe! David is 70, and even at 70 He Rocks the House, Where ever he goes. David and his Crew are REAL people, Each of the members of his band including the talented bunch of people that do their best to make sure that the David Allan Coe Band get from venue to venue, lights and audio, merch......they really are - just super/down to earth people...... I have to say it.... Bobnoxious... sorry, but BOO - HISS....IF the man in the 3 foot wig was not the person that you wanted to see... why did you go?.... and Heck .... God Bless Him if he still can get to the stage....I hope your as fortunate at 70 as he is..........Hmm... Three shows in 2 years David Allan Coe Band Rocks the House....A legendary performer....

At first I was extremely pissed/disappointed in the venue size (place was tiny, no seating)and the fact that DAC was a no-show on Wednesday night. So I kept my stub and drove back into town Thursday night to give him one last chance. When he did show(after a terrible opening act), he had to be helped up on the stage, propped on a stool where he proceeded to put on a surprisingly good show. I agree with the others in regards to singing more of his own tunes. He did do "Darlin, Darlin, Long Haired redneck, Shoot out that spotlight, If That Aint Country, etc. (Pop stuff, but no real song-writing gems) I could very well have done without the Rebel-to-Rebel, Uncle Kracker, and Kid Rock CRAPP. On the whole though, I would recommend the show to all Coe fans. If you are thinking about seeing him, do it and do it soon. He's not going to be around that much longer, I know he is 70, but he had to be helped from the stage by two roadies and a three-legged cane. Oh, and one last thing.. He has the ugliest three foot long strawberry blonde wig on, he looks just ridiculous in it. Dave, sweetie, I love you man, but that wig HAS GOT TO GO!!!!!!! So ugly!!! LOLOL

I've seen DAC the last few times he's been through OKC and I personally like the fact that he plays the smaller venues. It's always smokey, loud, and as diverse a crowd as a Hank III show. It's always a cool time, pretty laid back. I'd like to hear a few of the deep tracks that shine his song writing chrome...REVENGE, TEARDROPS AND WINE...but it's just cool to be there and just see DAC still kickin' it. One thing I especially like...is the fact that he can just crank into something that hits him and roll with it. I'm sure he's got a set list...but sometimes you gotta wonder. The only thing I'm not so fond of, is the names he drops during his show. The main reason is, he's bigger than most of the people he talks about. I dig Uncle Cracker, but David Allan Coe doesn't need that 'credibility', he's already got it. I've tried to get an interview with David for my outlaw show the last three times he was here, but I don't think that Bruce is getting the messages to him. Ah...you know. Always a good time though, David Allan Coe live.
