Wow, this concert was surreal. I am an Allman Brothers Band fan but this show just surpassed anything they had done before. As it turns out it, this was the last show on their 40th Anniversary tour and they pulled it all out. This show was not for the casual fan, but for true fans like me it was a special gift that I will always treasure. They may not have played all my favorite songs but what they did play was other worldly and magnificent. They had a guest keyboardist, Bruce Katz, who will be playing with Gregg Allman and Friends, who was just fantastic. When they would start to go completely out there I would hear these notes that were not familiar and it was the keyboardist and he would bring me right back into the moment so I didn't miss anything. Superb show in a beautiful venue and a lasting tribute to 40 years of Allman Brothers Band history.

I saw the Allman Brothers along with the Doobie Brothers at the Rose Quarter. I was extremely disappoint in the Allman Brothers band. Greg Allman never even introduced the members of his band. He never said one word to the audience. He did not do Whipping Post and other standards. I was like he was bored and had to be there. The Doobie Brothers I loved. They really appreciated their audience.

okay, the allman bros. just can't put on a bad show...they jam, we get our money's worth for sure. just didn't seem like a "spiritual experience" to me this time around. sure, they're getting older and we're getting older...maybe they don't have the "umph" like spring chicks anymore but the show was decent. there was a large number of "young" people there (18-25), which surprised me. usually it's us 60's and 70's old fogies. one young woman that i talked to about it said it's just that he (greg) appreciates the fans and she appreciates the good music~ 'cause, you know, they just don't make 'em like they used to! pl
