Are you kidding me??? I will NEVER step foot in the Prudential Center again...the place is a morgue!!! I recently saw a Fordham University Basketball game at the IZOD Center and was pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness, the polite ushers, and even the parking attendants shuttled us to our spots. Speaking of parking, I can't fathom who in their right mind would plunk an arena in a downtown area such as Newark...where you can't even tailgate!!! While attending a recent Prince concert at the IZOD Center we were able to tailgate to our heart's content...not so at Prudential. What a waste!!!

The Izod Center is outdated, a pain in the butt to get to and the sound isn't great. I've been to Prudential Center a number of times...took the train which is very easy and the sound at each show was amazing. The Fire and Ice lounges are cool as well to hang out in before the shows and at intermission. Overall a great experience. The staff was firendly too, which is rare.

old arena, and not the prettiest, but one of the BEST to see any concert! The arena built in 1982 is still the #2 venue for concerts behind Madison square Garden in the new york/ new jersey area, number 4 in the country, and number 9 worldwide. The brand new Prudential Center, in newark, nj didnt even make the list!
