Well I think Nissan Pavilion (soon to be..."Dipstick Ampitheater") is a great venue for music, comedy, adventure and drama. The concerts aren't bad either. Of all the concert venues I have worked, none draw a higher class of artists than Nissan (or Dipstick Ampitheater). Trust me, I have been snubbed by some great talent there.

Nissan has been closing almost every year that I've worked there. I guess the memo got lost in transit. Our parking situation has gotten so much better and we actually work on making it better. I was at a show in VB in October and getting out was ridiculous, no cops and 1 pathetic parking attendant smoking a cigarette with a flashlight that didn't work. Can anyone count the number of attendants we have trying to help you out, as well as PWC Police? Nissan just needs flowers...and please powers that be...do not call it anything Jiffy Lubish.

Although the acoustics are great at Nissan, especially for an outdoor venue, you must admit that the parking situation is the pits. Some great artists and bands appear there and you just have to go with the thought that after the show, it's gonna take you a while to get off of the lot. It is what it is. That said, it really has to be someone I want to see to make me go there. I live close to Merriweather and it is much more user-friendly venue.

Well, DL it is good to know Nissan is not closing. What I would ask is please open the gates for the 09/03/09 Buffett show at noon. This is my first Thursday Show and usually do Saturday's and I really enjoy getting set up early.

Chuckie has no clue what he's talking about. Nissan is not closing. I am a supervisor there and we are not going anywhere. Get your facts straight before shooting off false info. Oh, and by the way, if we suck, stay away!!!

This years schedule is good! I wanted to say that the amount of acts this year is dreadful. It just goes to show that they wanted to go out with a bang their last season.

Nissan SUCKS!! The traffic is horrible. This years acts are dreadful to say the least. Thank God that this dump is closing down after this year! This is not a place to see a concert. Go to the Verizon Center or Merriweater Post Pavillion, those places make this one a fossil.

Nissan Pavilion is one of the best private pavilions to go to. The concerts they have been offering the past 3 years or so have been truly allot better than years before. The security they have are very laid back but if something happens that they know is wrong they will strictly enforce it. Some of the people that show up there act with extreme stupidity, like no listening to police/security, but usually you can avoid them. The parking is really not that bad, most pavilions take you 5 hours to get out of the parking lot, last year I saw the parking lot clear in less than an hour for 99% of the shows. So just sit back, enjoy the music, and have some fun. This pavilion is great.

It is a great place for a concert BUT wish it was a little closer to civilization. I live in Baltimore and it’s easier for me to go to Philadelphia for a concert than Nissan. Traffic is the worst and would only go to see a show here if it was a Sunday night and ALWAYS leave on the encore or you are stuck there till 2am.!

Fantastic place! None better! Many food stands available before and during the performances. Nice clean restrooms. Handicapped accessible. Staff is very friendly and just a great place. Also there is a family zone. I had a really great time last year and I am looking forward to going back this year. Won't you try it and you can make up your own minds.

This is a great place to see a concert. They get all the top acts and it's a great atmosphere before and during the shows. Traffic was a problem in the past, but it has improved greatly over the past couple of years with new roads and road improvements.
