   The stage at Universal is standing room only. There are concrete walkways with astroturf area for standing. The Mardi Gras concerts are included with the price of admission. If you do not want to spend the entire day at the park, they offer an "After 5" ticket at a reduced rate. Parking at the park is currently $12. The concert starts about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes after the parade which starts at 9pm. The concert area will likely be open around 6pm. The center section is filled first, and then the side sections. Depending on the crowds, it is likely that the center will be filled prior to the start of the parade. Hope this helps you!

   Can someone tell me what the Universal Concert venue is like? Is it a stage set up with just standing room? Is this a ticketed event or with price of admission? I am from out of town and would appreciate any helpful info you could give me. I am fan club member of Montgomery Gentry and may try to be in Orlando that weekend to see them. Thanks for your help.

   is this the best universal can do, shame. they have had much better performers in prior years....not to mention, the area the concerts use to be was huge, now, it will be tiny. the roller coaster is in that space...shame on universal, first year i might not go...and, i usually see 2 or 3 bands...
