550,000 Fans See Helene Fischer’s 2018 Stadium Tour In Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Helene Fischer played 14 open-air stadiums in Germany, Austria and Switzerland between June 23 and July 22, in front of 550,000 fans in total.

The run began in Germany, with two shows at Leipzig’s Red Bull Arena, June 23-24, followed by St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland, June 26.

Then back to Germany, where Fischer visited Munich’s Olympiastadion,  Nuremberg’s Max-Morlock-Stadion, Gelsenkirchen’s VELTINS-Arena, Düsseldorf’s ESPRIT arena and Olympiastadion Berlin between June 29 and July 8.

The tour then visited Vienna’s Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Austria, July 11, and came back to Deutschland for two back-to-back performances at Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion on July 14 and 15.

The last three gigs took Fischer to Hannover, where she played the HDI Arena  on July 17, followed by Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt am Main on July 20 and Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart on July 22.

The capacity at most shows was around 40,000 give or take, with only Frankfurt and Leipzig reportedly selling out.

Come September, the German megastar will play the remaining shows of her 70-plus-date arena tour, which began in September 2017 to accompany her current self-titled album.

A couple of shows had to be rescheduled, which is why fans are now getting 10 more dates in four cities, starting with two shows at Mannheim’s SAP Arena, Sept. 1-2.

She’ll then play five shows in a row at Berlin’s Mercedes-Benz Arena, Sept. 4-5, head to Austria’s Stadthalle in Vienna (Sept. 12) and finish off in Arnheim, Netherlands, at GelreDome Arnheim.

In total, Fischer will have sold more than 1.2 million tickets, according to the promoter Semmel Concerts. 

The arena show made headlines for being designed in cooperation with 45 Degrees, a division of Cirque du Soleil.
