Rock festival Aftershock returns to Discovery Park in Sacramento, Calif.,  expanding to three days Oct. 11-13 with a lineup topped by Tool, Slipknot, Blink-182, Korn, Rob Zombie and many others for the eighth edition of the Danny Wimmer Presents event.

The lineup features the first performance of Staind after a five-year hiatus, as well as other heavy hitters such as Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Halestorm, Dropkick Murphys, BABYMETAL, Bad Religion, Stone Temple Pilots, and many more.
With 60,000 people seeing last year’s Aftershock, fans are encouraged to buy early.  October’s Aftershock 2018 was its biggest ever according to DWP, featuring System of a Down, Deftones, Alice In Chains, Incubus, Godsmack and many others.
Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch said in a statement, “Aftershock Festival is always a unique experience for Korn compared to other festivals. One of the main reasons is we have many friends and family that live near Sacto, so it’s always like a family reunion when we play Aftershock. We’ve been gone a while and we’re coming back this year with a new album, new stage look, and a new excitement that is very contagious! We feel like we are on fire right now and our fans are gonna be fuel for the flames!”
Danny Wimmer Presents is also proud to announce a collaboration with Metallica’s Blackened Whiskey and EnterNight Pilsner, among other culinary offerings.
Tickets go on sale April 26, with three-day general admission starting at $269.50 and single day general admission at $99.50.
Additional DWP events include Bourbon & Beyond, Chicago Open Air, Epicenter Festival, Hometown Rising, Louder Than Life, Rock Allegiance, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, and Welcome To Rockville.
The Aftershock announcement comes just as a new C3 Presents / AC Entertainment festival, Exit 111, was announced for the Bonnaroo site in Tennessee the same weekend, topped by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, and Guns N’ Roses with others including ZZ Top, Slayer, Deftones, Megadeth and many others.
