The band is one of Iceland’s most successful musical exports.

As one of countless events prohibited from taking place this year, talent festival Iceland Airwaves is going to stream ticketed live concerts of some of the Island’s best acts across the weekend, Nov. 13-14.
Of Monsters And Men, Ásgeir, Ólafur Arnalds, Daði Freyr, Emilíana Torrini And Friends, Hatari, Júníus Meyvant, Vök and more are part of the lineup. They will perform from venues across Iceland’s capital Reykjavik, just like they would during a regular edition of Airwaves.
“Live from Reykjavik” is a collaboration with Iceland’s public broadcaster RÚV,  and will also be broadcasted domestically on TV, radio and online.
Performances will stream from 7.30 p.m. in each territory, with audiences in Iceland, UK and Europe seeing it live. The stream will begin at 7.30 p.m. on America’s East and West Coast, as well as Australia, where the days are Nov. 14-15 due to international date line.
Ticket options, sold through DICE, include a two-day pass (£40/$50/AUD $70 and a one-day pass for Friday or Saturday (£30/$40/AUD $55).
Ticket for the solo shows of Ásgeir, Ólafur Arnalds, and Daði Freyr are also available for £15.
Festival Director Ísleifur Þórhallsson commented: “We wanted to find a way to shine a spotlight on the vast talent of the music scene here in Iceland, as well as support the larger industry and show some innovation. To have all these artists in Iceland at the same time is a ‘lighting strikes once’ moment, and we wanted to seize it with both hands.”
