Amazon Tickets UK GM Leaves

Geraldine Wilson, who joined Amazon UK in 2014 and became GM of its ticketing operation in 2015, has left the company.

A Companies House filing dated Aug. 9 says her time at the position ended Aug. 4.

An Amazon representative told IQ Magazine that Wilson “decided to leave Amazon Tickets for personal reasons and to take some time off from full-time employment.”

Under Wilson’s leadership, Amazon Tickets established itself as a legitimate player in the UK market.

Through a partnership with AEG, for example, it started offering customers access to lounges, premium seating and exclusive pre-sales at AEG venues and festivals.

Only a couple of weeks earlier, Jason Carter, the man who was supposed to head Amazon’s Prime Live Events division, also left the company.

Amazon Tickets is currently only operating in the UK but has job openings in the U.S. in locales such as Seattle and Austin.
