‘Baby Shark Live!’ Announces Initial Tour Dates; Viral Sensation To Play 100 Shows

Baby Shark Live!, the brand new, fully immersive concert experience from Pinkfong and Round Room Live, has announced the first shows of its first-ever North American tour, with 100 dates promised through 2020 for the production inspired by the ubiquitous viral kids video.

“We’re thrilled to bring Baby Shark Live to families across the country,” says Stephen Shaw, the tour’s producer and co-president of Round Room Live. “There’s something incredibly special about Baby Shark and it’s exciting to create a show that not only includes singing and dancing but an education component as well.”  Shaw’s company is also behind the PJ Masks! Tours based on the hugely popular superhero kids show that has toured extensively throughout North America.
Shaw tells Pollstar that while the “Baby Shark” song may only be 4 minutes long and not very complex, Pinkfong’s catalog includes 400 songs with kid-friendly takes on songs like Jungle Boogie and “No More Monkeys Jumping On The Bed,” allowing for a full 75-minute touring production.
The song has become nearly inescapable to kids, parents and non-parents alike, with it charting on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 32 and spending 17 weeks in the Top 50. The Baby Shark Dance video has more than 3 billion views, making it the 8th most viewed video in the history of YouTube.
Pinkfong is the children’s educational brand of South Korean entertainment company SmartStudy, and behind the Baby Shark phenomenon.  The tour dates were announced this morning on NBC’s Today Show.
Tickets for Baby Shark Live go on sale July 12 with presales beginning on July 9th.
