BigBang’s Seungri Cancels Solo Shows Amid Police Investigations

Seungri of the popular K-pop boy band BigBang canceled the remaining shows on his solo tour On Feb. 28 as police started investigation into claims of drug use and the offering of sex services at a company the singer has a hand in. 

Channel News Asia reports that Seungri’s talent agency, YG Entertainment, announced that he had canceled concerts in Osaka, Japan, and Jakarta. 
In addition, all future “engagements” had been put on hold while the police investigation takes place. The allegations refer to a company, Yuri Holdings, that Seungri co-founded in 2016 for his restaurant and entertainment businesses. Reportedly, Yuri Holdings arranged sex services for potential investors at a nightclub in Seoul.
Seungri has denied all the allegations and has no memory of any wrongdoing, which supposedly occurred three years ago. At the same time police are also investigating a nightclub in the posh Gangnam district of Seoul where Seungri was a public relations director and which is said to be den of drug use and corruption. 
The singer also has a stake in a ramen restaurant chain. He is expected to carry out his mandatory military service sometime this year.
