Pop punk veterans Blink-182 announced the rescheduling of its Bunbury Music Festival appearance in Cincinnati as well as a Windsor, Canada, date “due to unforeseen circumstances.” Both the band and festival say Blink will be on the Bunbury 2019 lineup, while the Windsor date was moved to Sept. 18.

The announcement of the Bunbury cancellation comes after three shows were postponed at the Caesars Windsor due to a labor strike, where more than 2,300 members of Unifor Local 444, which includes dealers, chefs and janitors, reportedly walked off the job April 6 over wages and working conditions.
Other shows postponed at the Canadian venue were comedian Russell Peters June 15 and Cole Swindell June 16.
Blink-182 was just added as headliners to Riot Fest in Chicago, which takes place Sept. 14-16 where they share the bill with Beck, Elvis Costello, Incubus and many others. The only other dates on Blink’s schedule are its Las Vegas residency dates at the Pearl Concert Theatre, with stints in June and late October/November. The band has done a few festivals this year as well as headline dates and festivals in 2017, and last toured heavily in 2016 when finishing at No. 39 on Pollstar’s Top 200 North American Year End Tours, with $28.9 million grossed.
Bunbury’s 2018 lineup includes The Chainsmokers, Incubus, Jack White, Post Malone and many others June 1-3 at Sawyer Point. As noted in the Facebook post, single-day refunds are available.
The festival has reported sellouts to Pollstar over the last three years, all three-day events and grossing right around $3 million each time. Last year reported 46,000 tickets sold and $2.95 million grossed with a lineup topped by Muse, The 1975, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and AFI.
Independent promoter PromoWest Productions produces Bunbury after purchasing the festival in 2014. The company puts on more than 450 events per year at its Columbus venues including Express Live!, Newport Music Hall, and opened popular indoor/outdoor venue Stage AE in Pittsburgh in 2010.
