BTS ‘Permission To Dance On Stage’ Seen By 45,000 On Site & 2.4M Remotely

The global pop phenomenon will come to Las Vegas in April.
Pop phenomenon BTS wrapped up three nights of “BTS Permission to dance on Stage – Seoul” at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, March 10-13.
The three-day in-person concert was attended by a total of 45,000 people. In compliance with COVID protocols, the stadium’s capacity was limited to 15,000 per show.
Over 1 million fans from 191 countries saw the March 10 & 13 online livestreams and another approximately 1.4 million bought a ticket for the live cinema viewings taking place across 3,711 cinemas in 75 countries and regions. The worldwide event cinema broadcast through Trafalgar Releasing grossed $32.6M.
The setlist changed from performance to performance, at the last show on March 13 for instance, BTS performed 20 songs including “ON,” “Black Swan,” “DOPE,” “DNA,” “FAKE LOVE,” “Life Goes On,” “Dynamite,” “IDOL,” and “Butter.”

Capacity on each night was 15,000. Fans weren’t allowed to dance nor shout nor stand up.
“BTS Permission to dance on Stage – Seoul” used a gigantic LED screen that could move in several directions, “to maximize the impact of live interaction with the audience,” according to a press release.
A BTS statement released after the three concerts reads: “These three days have been like miracles. After a month, after a year and even in the far future, we will always be waiting for you.”
COVID protocols prohibited chanting, shouting or standing-up on-site through the concert. Fans were allowed to clap or use clappers as well as lightsticks to cheer the band during the concert.
Last month, BTS announced additional show dates for “BTS Permission to dance on Stage – Las Vegas,” April 8-16, at the Allegiant Stadium. There’ll be a live broadcast event ‘LIVE PLAY in LAS VEGAS’ available to an in-person audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on all four days, plus an online live stream on the last day, April 16.
