Chris Young And Some ‘Famous Friends’ Roll Out A Fall Tour

Chris Young is bringing out some of his famous friends, including Mitchell Tenpenny and Callista Clark, for a headlining tour of amphitheaters and arenas kicking off at First Security Amphitheater in Little Rock, Ark., Oct. 21.

The “Famous Friends 2021” outing will hit 13 venues from October through December, with tickets going on sale beginning Friday, August 6 at Chris Young’s website. All shows will comply with local COVID-19 guidelines.
“Everybody’s been asking me when’s the tour announce – well now you have your answer and I couldn’t be more excited about it,” Chris Young says in a statement. “I’m pumped to be able to share some of this new music on tour!”
Young’s been a road warrior, at least up until the pandemic shutdown. In the last three years, he’s averaged 8,077 tickets sold per show for a gross of $317,232. Mitchell Tenpenny, his direct support, emerged as a well-regarded newcomer in 2017 and has since opened for Toby Keith and Old Dominion. HIs own headlining gigs have averaged 1,034 tickets sold for a gross of $25,576 as reported to Pollstar. Big Machine Records artist Callista Clark, at 17 years old, has her first EP, Real To Me, out along with a single “It’s ‘Cause I Am,” rising on the charts.
 
With nearly five billion career streams in addition to his twelve No. 1 singles, Young is also getting ready to release his highly anticipated eighth studio album – Famous Friends – Friday, August 6. Led by the multi-week chart-topping title track with Kane Brown, the 14-song project features several more of Chris’s famous friends, including collaborations with Lauren Alaina and Mitchell Tenpenny.
