“Global” is especially apt in this week’s case, as the band has been overseas hitting Australia and the UK and mainland Europe hard over the last three months.

Reports submitted to Pollstar from the run include two shows at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, Feb. 21-22, which sold a combined 24,791 tickets and grossed $3.43 million, promoted by TEG Dainty. Others include Dec. 9 at Manchester Arena in England which sold 15,639 tickets and grossed $1.6 million, Dec. 3 at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, which sold 11,227 and grossed $1.16 million and Arena Birmingham in England Nov. 30, which sold 13,651 and grossed $1.48 million.

In Europe they moved 15,740 tickets at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, selling out and grossing $1.32 million, and Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy, which sold 13,379 and grossed $1.11 million.

They just wrapped up the Australian tour, and go back to Europe in June, with dates in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Norway and two more shows at the O2 London, which they already hit in December, again with two shows. The former “American Idol” contestant, then referred to as Adam “Glambert” with a dramatic and somewhat flamboyant flair, has been a good fit with the timeless hitmakers, who lost one of rock’s all-time greats in Freddie Mercury in 1991.

After performing together for the first time in 2012, tours followed, with 33 shows worldwide in 2014 grossing $37 million according to Pollstar data. That was good for No. 35 on the year-end Top 100 Worldwide chart that year.

Timbiriche, which already made the Concert Pulse at the beginning of the year, is back continuing its 35th-anniversary concert celebrations in Mexico with new reports including Feb. 10 at Auditoiro Citibanamex in Monterrey, which sold 5,662 tickets and grossed $439,693, and two more shows at Auditorio Nacinal in Mexico City, which combined for 19,240 tickets and $1.2 million grossed. Mucho Dinero!

This comes after the Mexican pop group reunited in 2017 for 30 shows and ended up at No. 97 on Pollstar’s Year End Top 200 North American Tours with $14.8 million grossed.

Also new on the chart this week way up at No. 19, and continuing the Spanish-language theme, is Soy Luna Live, featuring the cast and songs from the Disney show of the same name. All 25 shows listed on Pollstar have boxoffice reports, and the group is, like Timbiriche, big in Mexico, selling 57,720 tickets and grossing $857,209 to six shows at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City at the end of April/Early May.

More recent reports include European dates, such as an impressive French run in February that included two shows at Zenith in Paris which sold 9,726 tickets and grossed $846,204 Feb. 24-25, and two shows at Mediolanum Forum in Italy Feb. 2-3 which sold 13,086 tickets and grossed $889,000.

Pollstar has reached out to Soy Luna Live’s management in Argentina, Ozono Producciones, to see if there are any plans to bring the tour to the States.
