BSH Events promoted one of the first festivals in Europe since the coronavirus crisis began, and is following that up with two more events in Croatia: Zadar Sunset Festival this coming weekend and Amnesia’s 7-Day Ibiza Takeover Aug. 30 to Sept. 5.

Croatia’s BSH Island festival went ahead, July 1-5, welcoming 12,000 people across the four days, who witnessed a lineup that included Paco Osuna, Dennis Cruz, Ilario Alicante, Artbat, and many more.
The festival’s founder Drago Vukelic told Pollstar, “The only rule for BSH Island was that all visitors had to had EU digital certificate as proof of vaccination, proof that person has immunity because the person had COVID-19 in last six months, or a negative test.”
Up next for BSH Events is Zadar Sunset Festival, July 30-31, headlined by Andrea Oliva, Deborah De Luca and Kiko Franco. The event takes place at the Monument to the Sun in Zadar, right on the Adriatic coast.
Local artists feature the bill as well, including Pablo Panda, Yakka, Aldo Morro, Andrologic. Mony, Ivan Mastermix ,Groove Masters, Alvize, Puff Puff-e, Damian Leboss, San Pacho, Neroa and Edvin.
“The capacity for Zadar is 1000 people as we want to create a unique boutique experience,” said Vukelic, who collaborated with Selected Croatia in cooperation with the Zadar Tourist Board to make this event happen.
Croatia, like all countries dependent on tourism, has been hit particularly hard economically by the travel and event restrictions imposed in response to coronavirus. Events like these help spread the word that the country is opening back up. UK visitors in particular will be glad to hear that Croatia has currently been placed on the UK’s green list, meaning they won’t need to isolate when returning to the UK, whether they’re vaccinated or not.

In August, the famous Ibiza club will take over the island of Pag for a full week.

The Ibiza Takeover in Croatia event takes place Aug. 30-Sept. 5 at the 1,000-capacity Noa Beach Club on Zrce Festival Beach on the island of Pag, the same location BSH Island went down in the beginning of July. It will be a seven-day takeover by famous Ibiza club Amnesia, featuring “main stage events, afterparties, a hotel pool party take-over, sunset boat trips, BBQ fiesta, after beach parties, VIP packages, watersports, luxury yacht packages and plenty more,” according to the press release.

The first phase of the line-up chosen to bring the spirit of Ibiza to Croatia includes Adam Beyer, Claptone, Marco Faraone, Kölsch, Luca Donzelli, Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed, Seb Zito, Mathame, Mar-T, Cinthie, among others.
As usual these days, there are three accepted forms of entry requirements, proof of vaccination, proof of immunity or proof of a negative test.
Things have been opening up rather quickly in Croatia in recent months, yet too slowly for some of the countries biggest events like INmusic Festival in the capital of Zagreb.  An industry insider told Pollstar that some events, football matches in particular, have been organized quite haphazardly to save some of the tourist season.
