DFA’s first scheduled NA date is at Riot Fest in Chicago Sept. 15, but the headline tour doesn’t get fully underway until Oct. 20 at Montreal’s

Tickets to the run go on sale Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. local time.

The run is in promotion of the group’s forthcoming LP, Outrage! Is Now, due out Sept. 8. Check out the new single off that project, titled “Never Swim Alone.”

The album is available for pre-order now.

About the album, Sebastien Grainger said: “There’s an absolute chaos and confusion in the world, and people who would otherwise agree on most things seem to be disagreeing on everything. … There’s a lot more space between the poles of opinion and views on the world. It seems like there’s a barrier of disgust as we dehumanize one another based on a few slight differences of opinion. The title is an observation of this hyper-sensitivity, which we’re all a part of.”

You may notice that the band no longer has a 1979 after its name. That is because it dropped the numbers in June of this year.
