Desert Daze will return this November with a lineup topped by The War on Drugs, Kamasi Washington, Toro y Moi and Japanese Breakfast.

The festival will once again take place in Lake Perris, Calif., about two hours east of Los Angeles, from November 12 to 14, and will also feature Ty Segall, Devendra Banhart, Andy Shauf, Yves Tumor, Crumb, The Black Angels, DIIV, Moon Duo, The Budos Band, Sudan Archives, Deap Vally, La Luz, Crack Cloud, Kikagaku Moyo, Sasami, Spelling, Pachyman, JJUUJJUU, Geese and Tim Heidecker & Weyes Blood, who will perform Heidecker’s 2020 album Fear of Death.

The War On Drugs announced an extensive 2022 tour earlier this week, but its Desert Daze headlining appearance will be its only U.S. show of 2021, and will take place just two weeks after it releases its new album, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, on October 29.

“It’s been a long year-plus away from the Desert Daze community and we are really excited about seeing the people that make this event so special, and seeing this beautiful, multi-faceted lineup at the lake,” said Desert Daze founder Phil Pirrone, who also fronts JJUUJJUU, in a statement.

Desert Daze is produced by Moon Block, which Pirrone founded, and Knitting Factory Entertainment.

“Desert Daze has been a multi-year journey for KFE and we’re ecstatic to continue,” Knitting Factory CEO Morgan Margolis said in a statement. “I’m personally looking forward to getting back to work with our teams and bringing this incredible curated event to the fans again.”

Tickets for the event go sale on July 23 at 10 a.m. PT, and begin at $75 for single-day tickets and $225 for three-day passes.

Desert Daze will also present a show by recent Pollstar cover subject Mdou Moctar at Pappy and Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace on Oct. 1. Pirrone now co-books the unique Southern California club, and spoke to Pollstar about it in May.

Most recently, Desert Daze took place in October 2019, with a bill topped by Wu-Tang Clan, Ween, The Flaming Lips and Devo.
