The Eagles – Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill, Don Henley, Deacon Frey and Joe Walsh – perform at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Oct. 29, 2017.
A little over a month after the Eagles announced its “Hotel California” March-April shows had been postponed to September and October, the band broke the news today that the outing is now set for 2021.
The shows feature the Eagles’ celebrated 1976 album performed from start to finish, accompanied by an orchestra and choir, and followed by a set of the band’s greatest hits.
Although Friday’s announcement doesn’t mention COVID-19, it’s a safe bet that the routing changes are because of the pandemic, with information about the crisis and its subsequent quarantine orders constantly shifting.
Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill, are now set to return the stage together in September 2021, starting with two nights at Denver’s Pepsi Center Sept. 16 and 18. The outing also includes gigs in Dallas, Phoenix, St. Paul, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Check out the itinerary below.

Tickets for the original shows will be honored for the new dates. Fans who can’t make the new gigs can request refunds via livenation.com/refund or point of purchase.
The Eagles played its classic album in its entirety for the first time ever during a three-show run at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (Sept. 27-28 and Oct. 5) moving 37,578 tickets for a gross just shy of $18.6 million. The success of the shows was detailed in a Pollstar cover story in November:
The Long & Unstoppable Run: How Eagles’ ‘Hotel California’ Tour Is Raising An Impossibly High Bar
A full tour was announced in December, launching Feb. 7 at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena and selling out three shows there with 37,9,375 tickets sold and a gross of nearly $8.9 million as reported to Pollstar Boxoffice. That was followed by three sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden in New York beginning Feb. 14, with a total of 41,058 tickets sold and a reported gross of $10.71 million.
Over the last three years, the band has averaged 20,850 tickets sold per show and a gross of $3,725,537 as reported to Pollstar.
