Elton John shines on LIVE75 as the HOT SHOT debut of the week based on sales from four of his final stadium dates in Australia and New Zealand. The iconic entertainer also owns the HEAVY HITTER status as the top-grossing touring artist on the chart, averaging a $3.1 million take per show. He tops the ranking with a sold-ticket average of 23,981 per night during the Oceania leg of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” trek that began at the end of November and stretched through March 7.

Ticket counts in this tally come from five performances, beginning with his concert at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on Feb. 16, cut short because of illness. He returned to Australia for the remainder of the jaunt, starting with a show the next Saturday at Melbourne’s AAMI Park. A two-night stint followed at C.Ex Coffs International Stadium in Coffs Harbour (Feb. 25-26) before an event on Feb. 29 at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.
Also making a debut appearance among the top 25 are Welsh band Stereophonics, 11th on the chart with shows at two arenas, and comedy giant Jerry Seinfeld, who arrives at No. 20 with sales from three theaters. The band’s shows – part of a recent trek through the U.K. during February and March – fell on March 7 at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena and the 14th and 15th at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff where they played two performances for hometown fans. Seinfeld’s showing on the chart comes from two-show stands at venues in two U.S. cities – Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., and Hershey Theater in Hershey, Pa., along with one show at Township Auditorium in Columbia, S.C.
