Festicket Raises $2.7M

Festival tourism is looking like good business for UK-based music and travel site Festicket, which has just raised another $2.7 million worth of funding.

That’s on top of the $680,000 it secured in March 2013 from early stage investors such as KIMA Ventures, venteprivee.com chief Jacques-Antoine Granjon, #1 Seed, Playfair Capital and Windcrest Partners.

This time Wellington Partners and PROfounders Capital led the round, although the main 2013 funders also came back for a little more.

Festicket was founded in 2012 by Zacharie Sabban and Jonathan Younes, offering festival fans a complete travel package to mainly UK and European festivals, including tickets, transportation and hotels.

The business is now working with more than 200 festivals and has a membership base of 300,000. It says it’ll use the new money to expand beyond the European festival market and improve the individual packages.
