The venue has increased its overall capacity for shows with a standing floor to 13,781.

Following a review of its capacities and operational procedures first direct arena in Leeds, England,  announced an increase to the capacity of its standing floor to 4,321.
The overall capacity for shows with a standing floor has increased as a result meaning that the first direct arena now has an official capacity of 13,781 making it Yorkshire’s largest indoor entertainment venue, according to the announcement by SMG Europe.
Commenting on the announcement the General Manager, Jen Mitchell, said “standing floor tickets for concerts at the first direct arena are always in high demand and it is great that even more guests can now be accommodated in this area.”
Mitchell added that “the entertainment industry is constantly evolving and our operational teams have been working tirelessly to ensure that the first direct arena can cater for all event types. As well as this capacity increase we have also developed a number of additional configurations using our unique retractable seating and draping systems to provide maximum flexibility.”
