– Grand Ole Opry Roundtable
Updated with video posted below

Continuing the celebration of the legacy of the Grand Ole Opry, Vice President/Executive Producer of the Opry, Dan Rogers and 50+ year Opry member Jeannie Seely will take part in a roundtable discussion with Pollstar contributing editor Holly Gleason on Thursday’s edition of Pollstar Live! Digital Sessions.

Rogers and Seely are featured in this week’s special issue of Pollstar marking the 95th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry.
Rogers – otherwise known as “Opry Dan” – started his career at the seminal country music institution as an intern in 1998. Few people know as much about not just the history but the ethos that goes into making the Opry such a magical place. After all, Rogers – who came out of the communications department – has lived through the 2010 Nashville Floods that submerged the stage of the hallowed Opry, Fan Fair turning into the big business CMA Music Fest, shifts in technology and the shutdown of live entertainment due to the COVID-19 pandemic and, now, its impressive livestreaming run.
Seely, who joined the Opry in 1967 and is known for her soul/blues vocals, remains a one-woman country revolution. From the moment she arrived in her miniskirt at the Opry, singing the enduring “Don’t Touch Me,” her spirit, passion and incredible talent made her a woman to watch in country music. With a quick wit that’s made her one of the most in-demand performers in the genre, her 2020 An American Classic offers another exemplary collection of songs.
Tune in to the Grand Ole Opry roundtable livestream on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT via Pollstar’s Facebook page.
