Following the June sellout of the Lights On Festival in her hometown of Concord, Calif., R&B star H.E.R. and partner Live Nation Urban have added an East Coast “Lights On Festival” taking place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 21-22.

Curated by H.E.R. herself, artists on the bill for Barclays include Maxwell, Bryson Tiller, Ari Lennox and more, of course with H.E.R. headlining with a special “H.E.R. & Friends” set joined by special guests to be announced.
As previously announced, the Bay Area “Lights On Festival” (Sept. 18-19) will boast a film screening tent, live art installations, R&B Museum, Guitar Lounge, and additional rides and attractions.  Artists include Erykah Badu, Bryson Tiller, Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla Sign, Keyshia Cole and more.
The inaugural Lights On Fest, in 2019 also at Concord Pavilion, sold out in 10 minutes according to H.E.R.’s management.
“It sold out in 10 minutes,” co-manager Jeanine McLean-Williams at MBK Entertainment, told Pollstar at the time. “Every piece of merch sold out in an hour. Every seat was gone. All the custom items were put up on sale the next night, everything there sold out. People really wanted to be a part of this experience. We are absolutely coming back to do this next year, and next year we are going to do two days.”
H.E.R.’s star power seems to be only rising, with 13 Grammy nominations and four wins, plus an Academy Award for her “Fight For You” from the Warner Bros. Pictures’ film “Judas and the Black Messiah.” She even has her own Fender Stratocaster signature model.
“I just want to say she is doper than the public sees of her,” McClean Williams said. “I’ve been doing this for a minute, not everyone is kind or super smart, just being honest. But she is genuine, rare, a unicorn, and she loves what she does. She’s really excited every day and sees every day as a new adventure and you’re gonna hear from H.E.R. for a long time to come. She’s the real deal.
Tickets for the Brooklyn Lights On festival go on sale July 23.

The 2019 Lights On festival sold 12,694 tickets and grossed $925,813, according to a report submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. Other reports for H.E.R. include a May 11, 2019, show with Erykah Badu at Barclay Center that sold 13,696 tickets and grossed $1,177,053.
