IEBA Award Winners Announced

International Entertainment Buyers Association concluded its 47th annual conference, held in Nashville Oct. 15-17, with its awards ceremony honoring those in the industry.

The awards show included IEBA Hall of Fame induction for booking agent Tony Conway, along with induction for Kenny Rogers and his tour manager, Keith Bugos, as well as the Ryman Auditorium. A Career Achievement Award was presented to New Mexico State University’s Barbara “Mother” Hubbard in celebration of her 90th birthday. IEBA gifted $10,000 to the Barbara Hubbard Scholarship Fund.

Talent agent of the year went to Artist Group International’s Adam Kornfeld, while MTG chief Louis Messina got promoter of the year. Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver won the amphitheatre award and Atlanta’s Fox Theatre got the theatre award.

Stacy Vee of Goldenvoice won festival buyer of the year, and The Greek Theatre’s Becky Colwell was awarded venue executive of the year. Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Ill., got the club award and Uncasville, Conn.’s Mohegan Sun got the casino gong.

Milwaukee’s Summerfest was festival of the year and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena was arena of the year.
