1,800 delegates are expected at the next edition

The Futures Forum will premiere at the 31st edition of the International Live Music Forum, scheduled for March 5-8 in London next year.
The last day of ILMC 31 will be dedicated to working professionals aged 30 or under, including booking agents, promoters, artist managers, venue operators, festival professionals, ticketing professionals, specialist suppliers and service companies.
Around 300 of the are going to discuss the evolution of the live business and meet their already established colleagues and veterans of the game, who are also among the 1,800 professionals attending ILMC.
“Futures Forum will bring the individuals that currently define the business together with those who will drive its development,” says ILMC head Greg Parmley. “It’s an extra day of ILMC, and a chance to embrace new formats, and encourage fresh voices and different thinking.”
Following a vote by ILMC’s 5,000 members earlier this year, the conference’s mid week format, which premiered last year, becomes permanent. Both the ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) and Green Events & Innovations Conference take place on March 5, while Futures Forum bookends the conference week on Friday, March 8.
“With over 1,800 live music professionals attending an ILMC event during the week, it’s the focal point for the international business. We can’t wait to start announcing speakers and sessions shortly,” Parmley added.
ILMC’s Gala Dinner & Arthur Awards celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019. The ceremony moves to the Sheraton Grand Park Lane – famed for its Art Deco spaces – for the jubilee edition, which will host over 350 of the industry’s best and brightest.
Companies supporting ILMC 31 include Live Nation, Ticketmaster, CTS Eventim, DEAG, Showsec, MOJO Rental, WME Entertainment, eps, Commerzbank Arena, Eyellusion, Feld Entertainment and Buma Cultuur.
ILMC celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. Many people have been instrumental in its success, but two men have become the face of the event: founder and honorary chairman Martin Hopewell and his successor Greg Parmley, who took the reins in 2014. Pollstar caught up with both of them earlier this year.
