Insomniac Unveils Multi-Date Audiovisual Drive-Through Experience ‘Electric Mile’ in SoCal

Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella has announced the debut of the Electric Mile, a brand new, fully immersive, audiovisual drive-thru experience at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif., an hour-long experience that opens Jan. 1 with a curated soundtrack accompanying attendees as they travel 1.5 miles through light installations and visual effects in a COVID-safe environment from the comfort of their own cars.

Tickets are on sale now, with multiple dates into January, although it is unclear how long the event will run.
Attendees’ vehicles will travel through seven unique worlds of Insomniac’s festivals and brands, including EDC, Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, Escape, and Countdown, complete with music, lights, lasers, smoke machines, and more.
Insomiac founder and Electric Daisy Carnival mastermind Rotella said he has long wanted to create a unique audiovisual rave drive-thru that highlights the art and magic of the dance music community.
“Buckle up, Headliners! We’ve had to get creative to bring happiness to people in different ways,” Rotella says in a statement. “To us, getting people out of the house in a COVID-safe way is really important for mental health and the soul. We’re excited for people young and old to come. It’s going to be spectacular whether or not you’ve been to one of our festivals before. It’s in the name of art, and it’s for everyone.”
Tickets start at $69.99 plus fees per vehicle, allowing eight people in a vehicle or the vehicle’s legal capacity, whichever is less.
