International Live Music Conference Launches 2020 Program

The 32nd edition features “the most diverse agenda in ILMC history,” according to conference head Greg Parmley.
The team behind the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) in London has revealed the 2020 conference program. 
More than 100 speakers in total are going to take part in 40 sessions, addressing topics that include the state of the agency, ticketing and festival businesses, as well as greener touring, mental health, the Insta-generation as well as “life after your star act,” according to the announcement.
Concrete sessions include “2020 Vision: The ten-year view”, which aims to predict how consumer behavior will change around live over the next decade, while “Mental Health: Next steps for live” looks at how much more the industry can do to support its workforce.

“Urban Legends: Hip-hop on top” examines urban music’s meteoric rise and growing pains, “The Agency Business 2020” looks at updates to artist development strategies, and “Insta-generation: Live through a lens” considers the impact of social media on the format of shows.
The 32nd edition of ILMC takes place March 3-6 at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.
Conference head Greg Parmley expects more than 1,200 delegates at the invitation-only event, and more than 2,000 live entertainment professionals at ILMC events across the week. For instance, the ILMC Production Meeting traditionally kicks things off on the first day of ILMC, while the Futures Forum, dedicated to the next generation of live music professionals, takes place on the last.
