The artwork for Jack White’s new doc: Kneeling at the Anthem, D.C., was filmed at Washington, D.C.’s new 6,000-capcity venue The Anthem owned and operated by Seth Hurwitz’s I.M.P.

Jack White will release an original documentary on Friday, Sept. 21, through Amazon in addition to a brand-new EP both recorded at The Anthem in Washington, D.C.

Directed by Emmett Malloy and filmed during White’s sold-out show earlier this year at The Anthem “Jack White: Kneeling at The Anthem D.C.:” features new footage from his current Boarding House Reach world tour in support of his third solo studio album.

Additionally, a six-song Amazon Original live EP with highlights from the evening will also be released on Sept. 21 exclusively on Amazon Music.

The documentary was shot during White’s career-spanning set on May 30 in D.C. Director Malloy, a longtime collaborator and director of The White Stripes’ 2009 documentary Under Great White Northern Lights, also joins White as he explores the Nation’s Capitol and gives a surprise performance for students at Woodrow Wilson High School. Prime members will be able to stream Kneeling at the Anthem, via the Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV, mobile devices and online.

A special premiere screening of the film will be held in Los Angeles, CA, on Tuesday, September 18 at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel and will include a Q&A with Malloy. A limited number of tickets will be available to the public, while Third Man Records Vault Members will also have access to a limited amount of tickets.

Starting today, listeners can stream an advance track from the EP, “Connected by Love (Live)” (tracklist below) via the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android or by asking Alexa to play the new song by Jack White.

The Anthem opened by Seth Hurwitz’s I.M.P. last Oct. 6th on a section of the redeveloped Washington, D.C. waterfront with a show by the Foo Fighters. With a 6,000 capcity and a cost some $60 million to build, the venue has become something of a go-to venue in D.C. in the relatively short time it’s been open. Other artists to play there in the last year include LCD Soundsystem, Bob Dylan, Queens of the Stone Age, Lil Uzi Vert, The Killers, LIttle Big Town, Lorde, Willie Nelson and Sturgill Simpson among many others .
