Concert producer and talent manager Jonathan Shank of Redlight Management is bringing together a dozen artists for the inaugural Homeward Bound benefit concert at Los Angeles’ Wiltern to raise awareness and funding for the area’s homeless community, with 100% of the proceeds going to charity.

The Jan. 23 event will feature acoustic performances by Jason Mraz, Fitz and The Tantrums, Phillip Phillips, Morgxn, and Scarypoolparty (who happens to be a client of Shank).
Highlights of the evening include The Doors’ Robby Krieger and John Densmore reuniting for their first performance on stage together in 20 years, duets from Ingrid Michaelson and Maddie Poppe as well as Dave Stewart and his daughter Kaya Stewart, and an appearance from Voices Of Our City Choir. The choral group helps their community’s unsheltered neighbors reconnect with hope and possibility through the healing power of music
Homeward Bound is also hosting a week-long silent auction that launches Jan. 23 and boasts exclusive experiences and items including meet and greets with Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, Sheppard Fairy and Henry Diltz artist prints, tickets to a Maroon 5 show, signed instruments from Robby Krieger and more, and tickets to the “2020 American Idol” finale.
All proceeds benefit PATH (People Assisting The Homeless), a non-profit dedicated to building
affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California.
“The Homeward Bound concert was created out of the need to support the growing homeless community,” Shank told Pollstar. “I was largely inspired by many of the music centric benefits I have attended including The Bridge School, Love Rocks NYC, and the KROQ Acoustic Xmas combined with the vision of creating a sustainable fundraising event for the homeless to help get people off the streets. It seemed like a great way to raise awareness and funding and also bring great artists and the music industry together.
“I’m thrilled to have so many great artists at the first ever Homeward Bound concert and grateful to everyone who has stepped up and supported this worthy cause.  I’m also hoping with the incredible silent auction that has been curated that we reach people all over the country who can contribute and be part of the event.”
