The Sun Soaked Outdoor Beach Party in Long Beach July 21 was hosted by Kaskade with 31,000 people in attendance.
After two successful editions, Kaskade has canceled his SunSoaked event in Southern California, stating that organizers were “falling short” of the goals they had for expansion.
The event was to take place at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, Calif., July 13-14 with a lineup including Logic, Grimes, Quin XCII and Kaskade himself. Refunds are being promised within 21 days.
The artist made the announcement this morning (June 25), writing: “After two years of an event that was absolutely epic, I wanted to make it bigger and even more expansive. The first two years had areas that needed improving so I brought people in to help me execute those changes.
“But at a little less than three weeks out, it’s become obvious to me that we are falling short, and I’ve been left with an impossible choice.”

The artist also responded to a fan’s complaint on Twitter earlier today that he was selling tickets at half of the original price, writing: “You’re right, this is jacked and was never my intention. I love my fans.”

The 2018 edition included a series of performances at different venues, curated by Kaskade throughout the week, and an outdoor beach party in Long Beach. The beach party drew 30,000 total attendees over the course of the week.
Kaskade was a key client of Circle Talent Agency, which was acquired by UTA in 2018
David Zedeck, UTA’s Global Head of Music, spoke to Pollstar in February about the agency’s upcoming projects and cited the company’s artist festivals, including SunSoaked, Posty Fest, Lost Lands and Bass Canyon as major successes.
