London O2 Adds More Entertainment

AEG Europe and Crosstree Real Estate Partners, a joint venture, are adding 110,000 square feet of new development at The O2 London.

The extensions concern Cineworld at The O2, which will receive additional screens and the latest 4DX technology, and a trampoline park operated by Oxygen Freejumping.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for late September and the project is supposed to be completed by Q1 2019. Contractor McLaren is delivering the new development project, financing comes from Lloyds Bank plc.

The new development adds to the 205,000-square-foot Designer Outlet Village, already under construction and scheduled for Q4 2018. Alistair Wood of AEG Europe and development manager for the joint venture with Crosstree said the new developments “will deliver a further four to five million visitors per annum to The O2 each year.”
