Maren Morris Sets Dates For U.S. Headline Tour

Ahead of tonight’s Academy of Country Music Awards – in which she’s nominated for Female Artist of the Year – Maren Morris has unveiled the routing for a U.S. headline tour that launches in June. 
The country superstar is gearing up to release her new album, Humble Quest, on March 25 via Sony Music Nashville’s Columbia Nashville imprint. Singles from the LP include “Background Music” and “Circles Around This Town,” which broke Amazon Music’s record for most streams for a country song debut by a female artist.
Humble Quest is described as Maren’s most genuine collection of songs, which she wrote at the beginning of the pandemic as she took on new motherhood and processed the death of her beloved friend and collaborator Michael Busbee, while reckoning with COVID upending the live music industry. The album was produced by frequent collaborator Greg Kurstin (Adele, Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters) and written with Marren’s husband Ryan Hurd as well as Julia Michaels, Jimmy Robbins, Natalie Hemby, Laura Veltz and Jon Green.
Along with her CMA nomination, Morris is up for two Grammy awards this year: Best Country Song for “Better Than We Found It” and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Chasing After You,” the No. 1, Platinum-certified tune she released with Hurd.
The headline tour follows previously confirmed festival appearances including the Houston Rodeo; Stagecoach in Indio, Calif.; iHeart Country Festival in Austin; and Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, Ala. The trek kicks off June 9 at Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, N.C. Stops on the routing include iconic venues such as New York’s Radio City Music Hall, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colo. Shows are booked in June, July, August, September and October, along with one gig in December – Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 2. 
Select dates feature Brent Cobb, Ruston Kelly, Joy Oladokun, Natalie Hemby, Lone Bellow, Brittney Spencer and Ruston Kelly. 
A Citi cardmember presale begins Tuesday, March 8 at 8 a.m. local time until Thursday, March 10 at 1 0 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program. The public onsale begins March 11 at 10 a.m. local time.
Reports submitted to Pollstar‘s Boxoffice for Morris include a Nov. 16, 2019, show at Armory in Minneapolis that sold 6,166 tickets (98% capacity) and grossed $298,378.
