‘Metamorphosis’: Janet Jackson Announces Las Vegas Residency At Park MGM

Will reside in Las Vegas to perform her new show “Metamorphosis” on 15 nights between May and August

Grammy-winning and multi-platinum-selling artist Janet Jackson will take over the Las Vegas Strip for 15 nights with a show dubbed Metamorphosis, beginning Friday, May 17, at the Park Theater at Park MGM resort.  
The 15 dates are spread out until August.
The description of the new show, promoted by Live Nation, reads: “Metamorphosis peels back the layers of the immensely private life of Janet Jackson, sharing her transformation from a young girl with issues of self-esteem to global icon.
“The centerpiece of this all new thought-provoking show, will be Janet herself, captivating you through your senses with electrifying visuals, explosive dance numbers, chart-topping hits and fan favorite deep cuts.
“The show also features a special 30-year anniversary celebration of her ground-breaking album Rhythm Nation
“Fans will follow her path to self-love, empowerment, motherhood and activism, amidst the challenges faced along her personal journey. She encourages her audiences to find their own light within themselves through her Metamorphosis.”
General tickets go on sale March 2, after several presales: Janet Jackson fan club members will have access to tickets starting Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. PST. Two hours later, the sale opens up to Citi cardholders who partake in the bank’s Private Pass program.
Members of MGM’s loyalty program as well as Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers will receive access to a presale beginning Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m. PST.
All presales end Friday, March 1 at 10 p.m. PST. Tickets starting at $79 go on sale Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. PST. 
The dates going on sale are May 17, 18, 21, 22, 25, 26, July 24, 26, 27, 31, and August 2, 3, 7, 9, 10.
Janet Jackson is the latest artist to stage a Las Vegas residency. Others include Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, the Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey.
