Michelle Obama Extends ‘Becoming: An Intimate Conversation’ Tour

Michelle Obama is following up her 12-show book tour with a 2019 outing featuring more than a dozen dates in North America and a handful of stops in Europe. 

“Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama” is in support of the former First Lady’s memoir, which became a New York Times No. 1 bestseller and has sold more than 3 million units since being released in November. The tour features Obama sharing her reflections on the experiences and events that have shaped her, including thoughts about her childhood on the South Side of Chicago, years as an executive, motherhood and her time in the White House. 

 “I couldn’t be more excited to visit even more cities across the country and around the world,” Obama said. “I’ve been so humbled by the response to the tour thus far and the overwhelming interest we’ve received from so many communities we weren’t able to visit this year. That’s why I’m thrilled that we’re able to expand our conversations to these new settings and wider audiences. I can’t wait to continue the discussions that have been so meaningful for me and, I hope, for so many others.”

The 2019 run is made up of 11 events in the U.S., four in Canada and six in Europe, including a rescheduled event in Paris. 

Fans can register now through Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. PST for Access to a Verified Fan presale. Tickets go on sale to the general public Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. local time. A limited number of VIP meet and greet packages will also be available. A portion of tickets in each market will be given to various organizations such as charities, schools, and community groups.
