Midem Digital 2021 Gets Netflix Keynote, Deadmau5 Seminar & Artist Ambassador Steve Aoki

The next edition of Midem Digital is scheduled for Nov. 16-19, 2021. This year’s program is dedicated to embracing “New Monetization Frontiers,” according to the initial program announcement. 

Organizers around director Alexandre Deniot were able to secure Steve Aoki as  Artist Ambassador for Midem’s 2021 talent program. The Grammy-nominated producer and DJ will meet the 12 selected artists showcasing this year.
Another world-renowned artist in the electronic genre, Deadmau5, will take part in a session dedicated to NFTs, exploring opportunities and risks of the relatively new technology to the industry.
Keynotes, workshops, talks, artist showcases will also be part of the four-day digital experience, which will be free to access online. The annual Midemlab startup competition returns as well.
What is more, Alexandra Patsavas, Head of Music for Original Series at Netflix, will reflects on her music supervision role and its evolution. Patsavas, who helmed the soundtracks for the “Twilight” franchise, “Grey’s Anatomy”, Netflix mega-hit “Bridgerton”, and more, will be interviewed by Sat Bisla, Founder of artist discovery and development firm, A&R Worldwide.
Then there’s the Midem Artist and Label Services Forum, which brings together service providers from all around the world for artists and labels, from distribution, rights management, production and collaboration, to marketing, sales and promotion, and other fields.
Some of this year’s highlights of the Artist and Label Services Forum include a keynote with SoundCloud’s President Eliah Seton and Chief Content & Marketing Officer Lauren Wirtzer-Seawood, as well as exclusive workshops by the likes of Spotify for Artists, Horus Music, Bridger, and more.
Midem Digital 2021, Nov. 16-19, is free to access online.
