The Melbourne show, at Lakeside Stadium, was to include Lil Nas X, Aussie duo The Veronicas and UK DJ Seb Fontaine, with proceeds to WWF Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.

When first announcing the show, Cyrus said Australia had been “a second home” during her marriage to Liam Hemsworth, and she shared a “sense of loss and displacement” with victims as she lost her home in Malibu in the 2018 fires.

One World emphasised that its Lakeside Stadium show on Saturday March 14 starring Robbie Williams is going ahead.

Staged to coincide with the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix weekend, it marks the first of the One World global concerts organised by Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s company Westbrook Inc, with Apollo World Touring and Australian renewable energy company AgBioEn.

The Melbourne show is in partnership with TEG Dainty, which in a a March 10 statement conveyed, “We look forward to bringing Melbourne a fantastic night of entertainment. Robbie is already on his way to Australia.”
